Stories on the web

www.storylineonline.net

This site is awesome!!! It's video of famous people reading children's stories. I love it because you can have students listen to stories individually at a computer center with head phones, or as a class on the smart board. Students can even listen to these stories at home on the computer. There is no cost to view the stories but donations are accepted. Check it out.

  1. Wow! That's a new one to me. I love it, I can think of asking kids to find someone to read a book to them and video it with a cheap Flip camera. How about the principal reading a book or the custodian. Kids could ask or be the camera operators. Great find! Why not share it with everyone in Google Groups.

  2. This is great! I can see it being very helpful to my ESL students as they learn English. Some of my adult students have young children in elementary school and they would greatly benefit from this site too. They probably would not know the famous people, but it is still great. I agree with Dr. Heigle - you should share this on Google Groups!
